Websnapr für Joomla

Wer kennt sie nicht, die Vorschaubilder, wenn man mit der Maus über einen Link fährt ? Es gibt mittlerweile viele solcher Anbieter, einer der besten und der ersten Stunde ist Websnapr (www.websnapr.com).
Nun haben wir von der it-Brücke eine Komponente programmiert, die es Ihnen erlaubt, diese Funktionalität auch für Ihren Blog, Ihre Artikel oder Ihre Komponenten zu haben. Alles, was Sie brauchen, ist unsere Komponente, einen Websnapr Key (kostenlos für 100.000 Bilder im Monat) und eine CSS Klasse für die Links, die Sie gerne als Vorschau angezeigt haben möchten.

1. Installation:
Sie können die Komponente ganz einfach über den Joomla Installer unter "Erweiterungen -> Installieren / Deinstallieren" installieren.

2. Konfiguration:
Klicken Sie auf "Erweiterungen -> Plugins" und suchen nach dem Plugin "System - Websnapr". Drauf klicken und rechts bei den Parametern die Größe der Thumbnails, Ihren Websnapr Key und die CSS-Klasse dejenigen Links angeben, für die eine Vorschau generiert werden soll.

UPDATE: Die Komponente funktioniert nun auch mit der internen Weblinkkomponente von Joomla. Einfach im Plugin aktivieren.

Who does not know the thumbnails while hovering a link ? Many providers nowadays offer this service, one of the pioneers and certainly among the best is websnapr (websnapr.com).
Our developer team has now published a Joomla component which enables this functionality for your blog, articles or components as well. All you need is our component, a websnapr developer key (which is free for a 100.000 snapshots per month) and a css class for the links in question.

1. Installation:
Simply install the component with the integrated Joomla installer.

2. Plugin Configuration:
Choose "Extensions -> Plugin Manager" and search for the Plugin called "System - Websnapr". Type in your websnapr key, choose a size and think of a css class name for all the links you want to have a preview for.

3. Article / Blog / Component Configuration:
All links which are supposed to show a preview must contain the css class. E. g. "<a href='http://www.it-bruecke.de' class='websnapr'>it-Bruecke - Analyse, Beratung, Umsetzung</a>"

UPDATE: From now on the component also supports Joomla's internal weblink component. Simply enable it in the plugin.

Hi Andrew,
unfortunately, this won't be possible easily with the integrated com_weblinks. Problem is, you're redirected internally instead of being ported to the website directly (meaning the generated link says sth. about index.php?option=com_weblinks...). This component however needs a direct link.

Hello I have seen that this tool works wonders. But can not it work on my site. Compenent and the plugin already installed, and I set up the plugin. But I have a problem. Where to put the code? (it-Bruecke - Analyse, Beratung, Umsetzung). I use the component that comes with Joomla to manage weblink's. My page is still in testing. See: www.infortreino.com/joomla.

Hi Antonio,
unfortunately it does not work with Joomla's internal weblink component (see comment #1). You could however put the weblinks in articles with the instructions above.

gibt es eine Möglichkeit der Verlinkung websnapr die Zeit, um die Verknüpfung hinzufügen, so dass dieses Bild ist immer sichtbar, auch wenn es keine Maus über den Link?

Hi Char,
it works when you edit the links' class names (the plugin class name and the link class names should both read the same value). Additionally it would help a lot to specify a link where one could check the installed component...

tach auch,

habe eben das plugin bei mir in joomla 1.5.15 eingebaut, key eingegeben, intern aktiviert aber isch seh nix smilies/cry.gif
auch externe links werden nicht erkannt.

no, unfortunately not. I'm a bit busy at the moment.
You might try to change the following in plugins/system/websnapr.php though:

I have obtained and entered the websnpy key, told the plug-in I wanted it to work for weblinks component in Joomla and it isn't working. Where do I put the css code for the weblinks component? There isn't anywhere to add that in Joomla that I can find. Please help.

Navigate to the the Web Link Manager. To add a new Web Link, click the "New" icon in the toolbar. To edit an existing Web Link, click the Web Link's Name, or check the Web Link's checkbox and press the "Edit" icon in the toolbar.

as I'm tired of deleting nonsense comments I've only wanted the spammers to know that the outgoing links to the websites have a nofollow tag. To clearify: you inherit no pagerank whatsoever when presenting your website here. So please comment only in relation to the websnapr component.

Needed to change websnapr.php?

I'm preparing a new joomla site on localhost with document root as http://localhost/path1/path2 and I'm also have SEO enabled. The plugin did not work. After changing the source code in websnapr.php (line 40) for the 'normal' links from
el.setProperty('title', 'AJAX:index.php?option=com_websnapr....
to
el.setProperty('title', 'AJAX:".$r."index.php?option=com_websnapr....
with $r = JURI::root() it worked.

Did I make something wrong in configuration or what could be the reason that this was necessary?
